Work undertaken for Local Councils

We act for several local government clients and have for many years advised in relation to and acting as advocate in the prosecution and enforcement of those clients' laws.

Some of these laws include:

1. Breaches of the Companion Animals Act eg Dog Attacks

2. Breaches of the Local Government Act and Regulations eg failure to comply with development consent

3. Enforcement of Land and Environment Court Orders

4. Impounding Act.

5. Local Government prosecutions including but not limited to offenses against the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Companion Animals Act, the Protection of the Environment Operation Act and Food Act.

We appear on a regular basis in the Local Court undertaking the prosecution role for our local government clients. Appeals to higher Courts also forms a part of the practice.
